The key that locks away one’s ability to perform at peak efficiency is state-of-the-art modern systems that maximize productivity and efficiency whilst not losing grip on quality. However, to achieve such an outlook, one must be able to work not only hard but smart. As IE Networks have been providing smart infrastructure solutions for different business organizations. Let’s take a brief review of one of the projects made with Bahir Dar Institute of technology. But on May 17 2022 IE Network solutions and Bahir Dar Institute of Technology celebrated the successful completion of the “Supply, Installation, and Configuration of ICT Network Infrastructure for Buildings Including Integration with the Existing Campus Local area network (LAN)” project.

Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, one of the institutes in Bahir Dar University, is among the oldest and most well-known institutes of technology in Ethiopia. Founded on May 6, 2000, the current Bahir Dar Institute of Technology (BiT) is an institute that offers higher education in the field of engineering and technology preparing students to become entrepreneurs and innovators through an outstanding education

In an official bid published by Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, IE Network Solutions won and signed an agreement for the Supply, Installation, and Configuration of ICT Network Infrastructure for Buildings Including Integration with the Existing Campus Local area network (LAN). This project officially started in July 2020, after a year and a half of execution, the project is now completed and achieved the intended outputs. All the required documents were prepared and agreed upon with Bahir Dar Institute of Technology before the actual execution. The project execution included

1. Local area Network (LAN): Distribution switch and Access switches configuration
2. Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN): Wireless LAN Controller and Access point configuration
3. Structural Cabling System (SCS) and related civil works.

After the entire implementation was completed, IE Network Solutions team conducted in-depth training and knowledge transfer session with Bahir Dar Institute of Technology team both in Dubai and Bahir Dar city. The training was organized in a professional classroom training manner and in combination with practical experience.

Once handing over the project was finalized, a closure ceremony was held at the institution by IE Network solutions with a panel discussion. A lot of constructive ideas were raised at the panel discussion as to what to improve in the next projects and appreciation for the excellence of this one. It wasn’t just about the panel discussion but also to celebrate the successful completion of the project everlasting impressions the two institutions have built.
